I saw that you make websites and since I want to do that for a living I thought I'd watch you. Any pointers on getting my foot in the door?

Hi, well I am honored u picked me as an example. Well if you have some experience using Photoshop then you can check web design tutorials like this at this website [link] there is where I started :)

After that you will have some tips and techniques to design with your own style :) after that you can try to learn some HTML/CSS and you will be good to go.

Wow. This had really opened my mind to much better web designing already. I didn't even stop to think of using Photoshop as much as they have. I'd really like to show you my recent site, but I have no host How would you like for me to go about showing you? It's small and only took about a couple of hours. It's going to be my portfolio when I host it.

I have a web hosting company if you need some good hosting. But you can still upload a JPEG of the design on a file hoster or something :)
